The Institute conducts research programme using its own resources and also through external funding. The externally funded projects are usually initiated at the request of the concerned agencies.

IIPS has a well-established publication unit. Periodically, it publishes Newsletters, Research Briefs and Working papers from the faculty members and other subject experts/scholars in related areas.
